They all work the same way: enter your dimensions, choose a finish and a slat profile, and you get the exact slat count, the hardware that goes with it and a live price. If your floor and your ceiling are both level, the fixed installation is the one you want.

What every estimate gives you

Whichever one you use, the result is the same kind of thing: the number of slats your run needs at the spacing you chose, the centre-to-centre spacing that produces, the bracket and hardware systems that go with it, and a live price pulled from our store rather than a rate card. Where a run needs cutting or joining — a sloped ceiling, a staircase, a ceiling over the slat length — you also get a cut plan and an order code saved with your order, so the same run can be reproduced exactly if you add to it later.

Before you order

Measure at both ends of the run rather than once in the middle; floors and ceilings are rarely level, and that's what decides how much cutting you do on site. Order samples if the finish matters to you — screens never get wood colour right. And note the minimum order is 12 slats on every system; smaller runs round up.
